Yup.

It appears that the Tories are contemplating cutting taxes, including the inheritance tax, which is (in my opinion) the stupidest tax going in Britain (various studies have shown that it costs more to administer it than it actually brings in, but yet it is kept because, one presumes, it signifies redistribution, even if it doesn't result in it).

Labour is calling this a lurch to the right. As far as I am concerned, that's a good thing.

So says a new poll by YouGov. Though not many voters seem to actually support independence.

Also, most Scottish voters think that people in England and Wales don't fully appreciate the contribution that Scotland makes. That's something I'd agree with, based on my experience of coming from a Scottish background, being married to a Scot, and having lived in London.

Sadly, more Scots identify most closely with the Irish than Americans.
